Birthday Boy

Yesterday Colin was 6. We had a wonderful day!! We was planning on getting pictures made with the tigers but found out after we got there they don't open until 5. Since it was so hot we decided to do something inside. We went to RideMakerZ and let him and Dale make remote control cars. They had a blast! Then we went to Hard Rock Cafe to eat lunch because when we had first pulled into the parking lot Colin was amazed that there was a pryamid. When we was waiting for our lunch he was laughing at how he was eating inside a pryamid. Tony told them it was his birthday so after he finished eating our waitress came and whisked him away to the center and had him stand on a chair and got everyone in the place to yell Happy Birthday Colin. He was grinning from ear to ear when he came back. She also gave him an ice cream sundae and you would have thought that was the best thing of all.

After that we came home and he opened his presents and was happy that he got his megazoid he had been wanting and a spiderman lunch box. He also got hmmm... how to explain.... it is flippers, mask and gloves for swimming and it's power rangers. We then went to the pool. OH OH OH he was having a blast. After dinner we had a large cookie that was decorated like the beach and it had sea creatures on it. He loved it.

Looks like yo all had a great time. Where is the RideMakerz at? It must be at Broadway...you know we never get out much. It was way too HOT to even think about getting out last week.

Yes, it was at Broadway. When we came in we parked on the back side of Hard Rock Cafe. If you are standing by the Cafe and facing the shops it is straight ahead. You will see the sign from the parking area and have to walk around to the front to get in. It's expensive! You walk through the door and there are a lot of truck and car shells to pick from. Then you take it to the guy right past there and they put the shell and all the parts to motorize it. You then take it to the shop area and start building it. There are all kinds of accessories around the room. Dale didn't do anything different to his or add anything additional. Colin got a different sound which was $3. And he also got some different rims which were $3 for the front and $3 for the back. I know Dale's shell was $25 and I'm not sure how much Colin's was but when we went to pay it was $122 for the two of them.

Oh I know I was more than shocked when they said how much it was. I wasn't expecting it to be that much. I didn't pay attention to the sign when it said starting at $12 and up...well that was just for the shell. We justified it as being a special day and that we don't really know if we will ever do that again. But atleast they got to do it once.
