This Simple Woman's Daybook

October 31, 2008

Outside My Window...

I see the trampoline and the ground covered in leaves.

I am thinking...

Who is going to rake those leaves? And it's almost time for the first little munchkin to get home from school. How he will be wanting to get into his costume the minute he walks inside this door and there is still hours to go before the Halloween fun begins.

I am thankful for...

Family, friends, and all our four legged want-a-be-humans. That the children were all well today and off to school. That it's Friday :)

From the kitchen...

I planned for tonight to be leftover night since we will be leaving to go trick or treating.

I am wearing...

Jeans and a green shirt.

I am creating...

An afghan that is for my stepchild for Christmas. Red, White, and Blue and I have two here at home that think it's for them.

I am going...

To walk to the bus stop in a few minutes to meet one child. Then go pick up another child in about an hour and take her to work.

I am reading...

The Kraft Food & Family Magazine that came in the mail yesterday. Lots of yummy recipes! The kids have already marked which ones they want to eat.

I am hoping...

That it will be somewhat warm this evening while we are out Trick or Treating.

I am hearing...

click click click click click as the dogs walk on the hardwood floors. I'm enjoying the quietness for the last few minutes before the little one gets home.

Around the house...

Halloween decorations and piles of laundry waiting for each child to come home and claim them.

One of my favorite things...

The smell of garlic in the dehydrator. Is the weird?

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:

Getting groceries, making bread, and going to the library.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...

If you want to join in, just go visit Peggy over at The Simple Woman, read the guidelines here and then add your name to Mr Linky. There are so many other participants sharing their day, I'm sure you'll enjoy looking through them :)
