The Simple Woman's Daybook #2

Outside My Window...I can see the sun peaking through all the trees. The leaves that have changed and one tree that is completely bare. The ground covered with leaves except for one small area that was raked yesterday.

I am thinking...About the busy week that lays ahead of me.

I am thankful for...My children who keep me extemely busy.

From the kitchen...Nothing at the moment. But last night we made homemade pizza and breadsticks. Instead of paying between $30 to $40 for takeout we spent a total of $7. And it was awesome!

I am wearing...Grey sweats and a red shirtshirt.

I am creating...An afghan that is for my stepchild for Christmas. Red, White, and Blue and I have two here at home that think it's for them.

I am going...Check out a few of my favorite blogs and then finish the laundry. I also need to run to the grocery store today.

I am reading... I'm not reading anything at the moment. But I have been going through boxes in the storage room and came across all the year books, baby books, and old albums. It's been a trip down memory lane.

I am hoping...To finish cleaning up and organizing the laundry room today since the storage room is now done. I am also hoping that Jene` does well at All State today and makes it into the finals. She was warming up her vocal cords all the way to school this morning. And that Dale makes the basketball team he has tryouts this evening. He has been practicing non stop.

I am hearing...The Today Show in the background and other than that the house is perfectly quiet.

Around the house...The last box sitting on the floor waiting to be gone through. The table sparkling clean with candles in the middle.

One of my favorite things...I love going to the beach and it's been so long since I've been. I don't care what time of year it is when we do get to go. It's the moment I get close enough to smell the air and then to see the tide come rushing up on the sand. It has an amazing calming affect on me and I feel as if that is where I should be.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Oh it's a busy one! Picking up kids after activities, taking Colin to scouts tonight, running the normal errands, Saturday Colin and I have to go pick up food for the Souts Food Drive, Sunday afternoon we are going to Celebrate America Recycles Day an event held at the York County Museum.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...
If you want to join in, just go visit Peggy over at The Simple Woman, read the guidelines here and then add your name to Mr Linky. There are so many other participants sharing their day, I'm sure you'll enjoy looking through them :)

Hi Cuz, you still have leaves? Honey, we've done past the leaf part and have come to the white cold stuff. You're way to busy, you should take it easy at your age (considering your birthday just a few weeks ago, and all).

It's just not right, winter already! The last few years we have lucked out with mild weather, and didn't get snow until late December, Guess, our luck has run out.
Okay, I'm done sniveling...

I've wanted to get over here sooner than I have and take a peek...LOL But, here I am, better late than never ;-)

We're w/ ya and the leaves. Dh and I are trying, but the rain is not helping.

Your blog is great! Thanks for sharing your corner of the world...
