One More Christmas

Brendon and Kaylee got here this afternoon and are spending the night. I thought they were only going to spend 1 night but I was informed that Jessie will be back tomorrow afternoon but they are all going to spend the night tomorrow. I gave Brendon and Kaylee their Christmas presents and the best was the afghans. They snatched them out of the bags and took off running with them yelling... my blanket. Colin said mommy made them for you and Brendon said... mama did you really make it. I said yes just for you and he said the sweetest thank you. They spent the evening wrapped up in them and now are snug in bed with them.

Kaylee was so funny she kept handing me her afghan and then she would quickly lay down on the floor for me to cover her up. When I said it was bedtime she ran over to the playpen and put it over in it. I covered her up with the blanket that she always brings first then put the afghan over that and when I went to check on her later she had taken the other blanket off from her and covered up with the afghan.

Brendon hasn't put his down so far it has been of course a blanket, a cape, and a great place to hide. He kept saying mama you can't find me and I would yell Brendon where are you and he would laugh. I could see his eyes looking through the holes and he would yell again you can't find me. He is also asleep cuddled up in his new blankie.

Colin had to get his out to show Brendon and Kaylee that mommy also made him one. lol
All those months of making all these afghans was well worth it.
Take Care :)

Awww, how cute, they will charish these special blankets for years to come. I know little ones like to slip their fingers through those holes, provides such warmth and comfort.

Only 6 minutes until 2009, better head in to watch the ball drop with hubby.
Best Wishes for 2009
